David Towers

David is currently Head of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) at MEC UK (a GroupM/WPP company), co-leading a team of 25 SEOs across Manchester and London. When not working at MEC, David consults for a number of charities, is part of the Joomla CMS Sponsorship Team and is an industry speaker at the University of Salford's Search and Social Media Marketing course. In 2010, David was chosen as a MediaWeek '30 under 30' rising star for "breaking new ground in SEO". Within 18 months of joining MEC, he grew the SEO team tenfold, increased SEO revenue to over £1mllion, quadrupled client base and established MEC as a major authority in SEO. More recently, Media Week awarded David silver in the Agency rising star category.
